God never promised a life without darkness, valleys, and shadows. However, He has promised that He will be with us in our darkness, valleys, and shadows. He walks hand in hand with us in the darkness and, to His praise, light and dark are the same to Him (Psalm 139:12). We should be of good courage, comforted by the presence of His rod and staff. You will make it through the valley with Him.
