Command, Example, and Necessary Inference are the three ways Christians may establish divine authority. Those three modes of authorization also designate the nature of that divine authority, whether it is general (inclusive) or specific (exclusive). This homily establishes and explains that two-tiered framework from which we must understand divine law. It also includes some discussion on why expediences like songbooks, information technology, and other expediences are authorized by general authority from God.
