Miracles performed by God through the hands of men served the purpose of confirming both the message and the messenger in biblical times. Given the complete revelation of Scripture, the restrictive purpose of miracles in the Bible, and the logical inference that God performs now through divine providence, the purpose of overriding nature is no longer essential to the conveyance of God's will.
