Why Don't We Use Instruments In Worship?

One of the first things that most people notice about our assemblies is that we do not use instruments in our musical worship (i.e. our musical worship is "acapella" - literally "according to chapel"). So why don't we use them? Is it preference? Is it financial limitations? Is it tradition? Or is it something else?

This lesson examines four principles that answer this important question (and that can be used for other questions regarding worship to God). Those four principles include: God has ALL authority, it matters how we worship God, God reveals His pattern for worship today in the New Testament, and God has specified vocal music in the New Testament and has not authorized the use of instruments.

We hope you find this lesson helpful in your pursuit to worship God in spirit and in truth! (John 4:23-24) And please share it with others!
