Discernment In An Un-Discerning World

As vital as discernment is in our life, we unfortunately pay little active thought to it. How often have you been driving down the road with the radio playing all manner of ungodly music without even taking a second thought to what is making an indelible impression on you? How often do shows and movies that we watch or books we read warp how we view God’s just decrees on capital punishment, the submissive role of women, the sanctity of human life, physically disciplining our children, the perversion of fornication & adultery, and a host of other biblical mandates?

Thus our lesson this evening. We NEED to develop our senses by noting differences between that which is wholesome and profitable and those things that are morally reprobate and reprehensible. We all need instruction and admonition!
