Jeremiah reveals His inner turmoil over the incoming judgment. Part of him just wants to weep endlessly; another part of Jeremiah wants to just pack up and leave it all behind. He shows us that  the disintegration of the moral fabric of one's society brings conflicting emotions and that those emotions are incredibly difficult to process. Even so, he furnishes a positive example of a person of God properly working successfully through this process.
